About Us





  • Saint Mary Magdalene Parish was formed from the parishes of St. Bede, Point Breeze; St. Charles Lwanga, Homewood; and St. James Wilkinsburg.

    We came together as a grouping on October 15, 2018, with Rev. Thomas J. Burke as administrator. and are officially one parish as of January 6, 2020.

    The churches in the parish are St. Bede, St. James, and Mother of Good Counsel.  Rev. Thomas J. Burke was installed as pastor on Saturday, January 11, at the 4 pm Mass at St. James.
